I can say I tried Free Word/Excel Password Recovery and it helped! A password was recovered! Unfortunately it does not support Excel 2007 and 2010 files which I also had, so I had to search for a paid solution and found an olnine service called www.password-find.com - it removed protection from 2 of my Excel docs in no time! I was impressed and will use online service if I need it some day - they're better that shareware programs!
